- A representative from the health sector
Purpose of the Rally:
The rally aims to show solidarity with the healthcare sector in Gaza and to demand an end to the destruction of hospitals and health infrastructure. It also calls for the immediate release of Dr Hossam Abu Safiya and his detained colleagues from Gaza’s medical sector, as well as an urgent halt to the war and Britain’s arms exports to the Israeli occupation. Furthermore, the rally will highlight the need for equal attention to Palestinian prisoners as is afforded to others held in captivity.
This demonstration is part of ongoing efforts to support the rights of the Palestinian people and to urge the British government to take a firm stand against human rights violations in Palestine.
We invite all supporters to join us today in a unified show of solidarity with Palestine and Gaza’s healthcare sector.
