The Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB) organised a well-attended community Iftar in Newcastle, bringing together Palestinian, Arab and Muslim families in a warm atmosphere of unity, solidarity and generosity.
The organisers expressed their sincere gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event and extending appreciation to the families and members of the local community who took part and supported the initiative. The evening was described as a genuine collective effort, with volunteers and participants contributing wholeheartedly to create a welcoming and compassionate environment.
Approximately 160 people attended the Iftar, which was marked by a strong sense of togetherness and goodwill. The programme included a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, a short speech, and a collective supplication reflecting on the spiritual significance of Ramadan and the importance of community solidarity.
The gathering also served as a platform for charitable giving, with donations and Zakat al-Fitr contributions for families in Gaza reaching around £2,000. Organisers highlighted the importance of continued humanitarian support for Palestinians facing extremely difficult conditions.
PFB extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, and contributed to the evening’s success, praying that their efforts would be accepted and rewarded. Attendees were also invited to continue participating in community activities, including an upcoming Eid gathering scheduled for next Saturday.
