High Wycombe, 16 August 2025 – In response to the call by the Palestinian Forum in Britain and its partners in the Palestine Coalition including the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Muslim Association of Britain, Friends of Al-Aqsa, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and the Stop the War Coalition, campaigners are set to gather today, Saturday 16 August, at RAF High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. The action will demand an immediate end to UK military support for Israel, as Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip enters its 678th day, amid ongoing British government silence in the face of mounting war crimes and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

This protest marks the first ever mobilisation at RAF High Wycombe, the UK’s Air Command headquarters, which plays a central role in coordinating surveillance and intelligence operations. Campaigners stress that this base is directly linked to providing Israel with intelligence used in its ongoing genocidal war on Gaza. The demonstration aims to expose this complicity and demand that Britain immediately end its role in enabling war crimes.

The protest will feature a range of powerful speakers from across the movement, amongst which are:

  • Adnan Hmidan, Acting Chairman, Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB)

  • Yasmin Adam, Muslim Association of Britain (MAB)

  • Grace Cowan, Stop the War Coalition (STW)

  • Hala Hanina, speaking on behalf of families in Gaza

The Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB) is urging the British public to join today’s protest at the RAF’s High Command base, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, in a powerful act of civil resistance against UK complicity in the mass killing of Palestinians. This mobilisation comes as evidence mounts that RAF surveillance operations are providing intelligence to Israel’s military, directly enabling the destruction of Gaza.

More than 2.4 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip remain trapped under a campaign of annihilation. Over 67,000 people have been killed or are missing, among them more than 19,000 children. At least 88% of the territory has been destroyed. Over 650,000 children are now at risk of death from malnutrition and starvation. Israel has dropped more than 125,000 tons of explosives on Gaza, while blocking aid, bombing hospitals, and displacing over two million people.

Adnan Hmidan, Acting Chairman of the PFB, commented:
“While over two million people in Gaza face catastrophic hunger, Britain is helping Israel’s war machine by allowing RAF bases like High Wycombe to provide intelligence used in these attacks. This is not just silence, it is active complicity. We are here to send a clear message: stop arming Israel, stop aiding the siege, and stop using British soil to facilitate genocide.”

Hmidan added:
“We call on all people of conscience to join us today at RAF High Wycombe to demand an end to Britain’s role in this mass killing and starvation. Together, we can break the wall of silence and stand with the people of Gaza.”

The protest will take place at RAF High Wycombe’s High Command (New Road, High Wycombe, HP14 4XQ) and will be joined by speakers from the coalition organisations, reflecting the breadth of Britain’s solidarity movement. Their voices will represent workers, peace activists, students, and community leaders, all united in one demand: justice for the people of Gaza and an immediate end to the genocide.
