London, 19 July 2025 — In response to the call by the Palestinian Forum in Britain and its partners in the Palestine Coalition including the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Muslim Association of Britain, Friends of Al-Aqsa, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and the Stop the War Coalition, thousands are expected to join the 29th national demonstration for Palestine since October 2023. The demonstration will take place tomorrow, Saturday 19 July, in the capital, London, as Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip enters its 650th day, amid ongoing British government silence in the face of mounting war crimes and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
The Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB) is urging the British public to join thousands in the streets of London tomorrow, Saturday 19 July 2025, for the latest March for Palestine. This national mobilisation comes as the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip enters its 650th day, and as silence from the UK government continues despite overwhelming evidence of war crimes and humanitarian catastrophe.
More than 2.4 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip remain trapped under a campaign of annihilation. Over 67,000 people have been killed or are missing, among them more than 19,000 children. At least 88% of the territory has been destroyed. Tens of thousands of families have lost everything. Over 650,000 children are now at risk of death from malnutrition and starvation. Israel has dropped more than 125,000 tons of explosives on Gaza, while blocking aid, bombing hospitals, and displacing over two million people. This is not just a war. It is a systematic, deliberate genocide.
Adnan Hmaidan, Acting chairman of the PFB, commented: “At a time when the world’s tables are overflowing with extravagance and excess, more than 1.25 million people in Gaza are suffering from catastrophic hunger, and 96% of the population faces severe food insecurity, in one of the most horrific forms of collective punishment in modern times. We are witnessing an ongoing humanitarian catastrophe, in which faces are exposed and bones are exposed, in which fathers are unable to assuage their children’s hunger, and in which mothers are forced to ignore their own pain to keep their loved ones alive. In Gaza, the price of a kilogram of flour has risen to £30, amid a stifling siege and systematic starvation that claims lives twice: once by bombs, and once by the world’s silence. What is happening in Gaza is a stain on humanity and a failure that exposes the morals of the international system, placing a responsibility on us all to take immediate action.”
Hmidan added “We call on the masses of our people in Britain, and the free people of the world, to actively participate in the major national demonstration in London on Saturday, July 19, to denounce the siege of Gaza and the starvation of its people, and to demand an end to the massacres and the immediate opening of the crossings. We call for a broad popular movement everywhere, through demonstrations, writing, and political and media pressure, to break the wall of silence and end the suffering of more than two million people under siege in Gaza. Let us speak up, let us write, let us shout, before those who remain alive die of hunger,”
The march in London will be a powerful public response to this unprecedented horror. It is also a rejection of the British government’s ongoing complicity. The people of the UK have shown week after week that they refuse to look away. They know that continued arms sales, diplomatic protection, and political silence make our government accountable for the devastation in Gaza.
Tomorrow’s march will feature an extraordinary line-up of speakers representing the broad and growing coalition standing in solidarity with Palestine. Those speaking include:
- Richard Burgon MP
- Jeremy Corbyn, independent MP
- Jo Grady, General Secretary of UCU
- Steve O’Donnell, Unite the Union
- Zoe Garbutt, Stop the War Coalition
- Leanne Mohamad, Palestinian activist
- Ambassador Dr. Husam Zomlot
- Jen Brister, comedian
- Ahmed Eldin, journalist
- Nadine Shah, singer and activist
- Ruth Lukom, Jewish Bloc
- Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, British doctor who worked in Gaza
Ahmad Baker, representing displaced Palestinian families

Their voices represent workers, students, artists, survivors, medical professionals, and members of Britain’s Jewish community – all united in one demand: justice for the people of Gaza and the immediate end to the genocide.
