The Palestinian Forum in Britain Condemns the U.S. Attempts to Forcibly Displace Gazans

The Palestinian Forum in Britain strongly condemns the latest attempts by the American president to forcibly expel Palestinians from Gaza under the guise of a so-called “deal” for peace. What is being prepared is nothing short of another Nakba, an orchestrated ethnic cleansing that seeks to erase Palestinians from their land.

In a world that endlessly preaches democracy and human rights, we are witnessing a stark betrayal of these very principles. The voices of millions across the US, UK, and Europe demanding justice for Palestine are ignored by leaders who claim to represent them. Instead of heeding the calls of their people, these leaders remain complicit in Israel’s genocidal campaign, choosing to enable its crimes rather than uphold the basic tenets of humanity.

The American administration’s pressure on Jordan and Egypt to absorb Palestinians will not succeed. No amount of coercion will force Palestinians to abandon their homes, nor will history be rewritten to erase their rightful claim to their land. The resilience of the Palestinian people has been tested for over a century, from the British occupation of Palestine in 1921 to the ongoing Nakba today. Yet, despite massacres, forced displacement, and occupation, Palestinians have never surrendered. Gaza will not be emptied. Palestine will not be erased.

Zaher Birawi, the chairman of the PFB, stated that “the world must reject this latest attempt at ethnic cleansing and stand firmly against Israel’s Western-backed genocide. The Palestinian people will remain steadfast in their land, as they always have, and no force, no deal, no coercion will ever change that.

We reaffirm our unwavering call for justice and our continuous demand for our right of return and self-determination. We urge all those who stand for justice, respect human rights, and reject tyranny and oppression to take to the streets and raise their voices. Our government must hear us and act against this blatant injustice.

This Saturday at 12 noon, we will march from Whitehall to the US Embassy. Let our millions send a clear message to the US and our own government: this ethnic cleansing will never succeed.
